“Hello! My name is Allison Martin. I joined the Valencia Soil and Water Conservation District team in September 2018.
I currently live in Bosque Farms, New Mexico with my husband and two sons Joshua and Samuel. Before working here, I was a Park Ranger for the National Park Service at Petroglyph National Monument in Albuquerque. I am very enthusiastic about the necessity of environmental education opportunities for young (and older!) students. When students learn about the landscape around them, they begin to care for its resources and become advocates for its protection.
There is a NEW sixth grade program this year! Find information on it on our website under the tab to the left called: Understanding the Producer
“Of all the paths you take in life, make sure some of them are dirt." -John Muir

Special thanks to our partners Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge and Audubon New Mexico for our first Teacher Summit 2019! We believe that incorporating environmental education into daily curriculum not only enhances direct experience, but increases academic success for all students! Together, we can create a future of environmental stewards of the land!
