Starting July 1st 2020, the District Assistance Program has been updated to reach more effectively the various communities of the District. There are 3 applications for assistance:
1) The Standard Conservation Project Application available July 1st thru September 30th 2020
2)The Stand-Alone Practices Application is available all year first come first serve for available funding.
3) Soil Testing Application is available all year.
Please read our Program Overview below for more information about the available assistance in fiscal year 2021 starting July 1st 2020 thru to June 30th 2021. Applications are provided below also. The applications are not fillable online at this time. If you would like hard copy sent by mail for completing please call our office at 864-8914.
Background
On February 22nd 2016, The Valencia Soil and Water Conservation District (VSWCD) approved implementation of a financial assistance program for preservation of soil and water, and the natural landscapes that protect and enhance the quality and resilience of these critical resources. This program has been established to promote conservation practices which can be used across different landscapes including rural, urban, wildland urban interface (WUI), rangeland, and agricultural lands within the Middle Rio Grande Valley floodplain, uplands, and mesas.
